I have always been an artist. I trained at Bournemouth College of Art & Design, Ravensbourne Art College, (where I gained my BA Honours degree in Fine Art), and London University Institute of Education.

I have worked in further education as an art teacher, worked as an illustrator, managed an art gallery and music shop, set up a wholesale gift company specializing in musical gifts, and worked as a private art tutor, setting up my own classes. Recently I have been accepted as one of the watercolour tutors for Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth cruise liner and other luxury cruise lines.

I have spend many years studying watercolour painting which I still find fascinating and a joy to do.

During lock-down I studied how to paint on silk. This has opened up a new chapter for me. I enjoy designing the paintings and am captivated by the bright colours. Nature still informs my work whether it is a landscape, birds, flowers or animals. I like to have an eclectic mix.

Painting teaches you to observe nature more closely and better appreciate its beauty.
